This achievement, backed by an expanded Permit to Fly from the UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), positions the company as the second worldwide to accomplish such a feat.

The test involved complex maneuvers such as roll, yaw, and spot turns, essential for assessing the VX4’s aerodynamic behavior, control systems, and battery efficiency. With over 1,500 pre-orders from major airlines, Vertical is solidifying its presence in the emerging eVTOL market.
As Vertical moves into Phase 3 of its testing, the CAA’s approval paves the way for wingborne flight tests and further certification efforts. With a range of 100 miles and a top speed of 150 mph, the VX4 aims to revolutionize urban and regional air travel.
